In 2019, we signed up to be part of the Dialogue and Argumentation for Cultural Literacy Learning in Schools (DIALLS) research project funded by Cambridge University. The project focused on developing children who are tolerant, inclusive and empathetic towards others through the use of wordless texts.
Over the course of the lessons, children had access texts from Spain, Portugal, Germany, Cyprus, Israel and Lithuania and discussed relevant topics around the three key themes. The scheme involved working with children in other schools in this country and other countries. This was an exciting opportunity and one we think the children got a great deal from.
